to be gorgeous, but that’s not what this is about.

who dat?

April Korto Quioh is a celebrated screenwriter, director, comedian, and
podcaster.

She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota in a tight-knit community of
eccentric Liberian immigrants. She writes about them often.

Previously, she has written on NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Other
Black Girl on Hulu. She was also a Co-Executive Producer on Survival of
the Thickest on Netflix and a supervising producer on Loot on Apple TV+.
Recently, she wrote, directed, and starred in her short film PICK ME and
is currently developing it into a feature-length film.

She runs a production company called Palava Productions with her
best friend, collaborator, and older sister. She could model but she’s
really more of an intellectual.

If you’re just like everyone else and can’t get enough April, you should
listen to her podcast, You Owe Me An Apology. And if you owe her an
apology, be sure to apologize to her ASAP.

Currently booking: shorts, music videos, experimental storytelling,
branded content, and narrative projects that light me up.

I’m looking to collaborate and tell stories that are full of heart and
find levity even in the toughest of moments. In addition to my 10+
years as a professional comedy writer, I bring along with me my
lifelong commitment to having a laugh by any means necessary,
my careful attention to detail, my improvisational approach to
storytelling, and my consistent ability to be a 10/10 hang.

Let’s get to work. The sky’s the limit.
